Introduction A lesson on sparrow-hood: Sparrows are by definition a common non-descriptive creature. They are so ordinary and insignificant that they are often invisible. Bird watchers are never on the look-out for sparrow sightings. Lowly, unflashy, overlooked, unwanted. On the plus side: bluish-green/white eggs fit in nicely with cottage decor, sparrows are determined nesters and vigorous defenders, they are gregarious by nature and flutter and twitter long before it was popular. For all the fancypanted birds to choose from, Jesus chose the humble sparrow to illustrate His love and care. In reality, this recent empty nester of three, wife to an incredible husband, and the leader of the Fab5 Bible Study has a lot in common with the sparrow. "For the larger part, the sparrow is sedentary, rarely moving more than a few kilometers." Workin' on it. Lovely dwelling, margi (monkjo@live.com)
