Introduction I was made by a wandering Athenian carpenter in the spring of 343 B.C.E., in the city of Pella; that alone should be a judgement of how terrible a wanderer he was. It was some time afterward when I met Aristotle, while he was tutoring young Alexander the Great. I was a source of mental relaxation for Aristotle, especially during his time spent with Theophrastus while they were trekking about Lesbos in search of plants and animals to document. (It was all quite dull if you asked me.)
InterestsAs a yo-yo I tend to spend most of my time sitting in one place. Other areas of interest include: physics, metaphysics, poetry, theater, music, logic, rhetoric, linguistics, politics, government, ethics, biology, and zoology. I also prefer linseed oil after a long winter; it abates splitting and cracking.
Favorite booksI hear Plato's 'Republic' is a good read, though I think my owner was rather biased.
