Introduction By the Grace of God and the fellowship of Alcoholics Anonymous, my sobriety date is March 4th, 1996 and I have NO desire to change it! I joined AA after white knuckling my addiction to Meth and Alcohol, and living in complete isolation, for almost a year. I was still dying on the inside! Even though I was not drinking or using, I did NOT know how to live life! I could not look people in the eye because I knew deep within me, I was an outcast of society and I deserved NOTHING. The Desire to drink and use was removed from me the night I hit my knees and cried out to God, begging Him to rescue me from the hell I had created for myself. Today, I have a great relationship with the son that I "gave up" over 20 years ago. I have gained the trust of my family and friends. I met my husband in recovery and we started a second family. I now have 2 daughters, ages 2 1/2 and 4 years old. I have an amazing appreciation for the fact that NONE of this could have happened had I not been desperate enough to be WILLING to go to any lengths for Victory over this disease! Life is far from perfect, but it is LIFE! I'll take this over what I created for myself ANY DAY!!
Interests Gardening, CAMPING, fishing (Lakes and streams), CAMPING, dancing with my little girls, CAMPING, digital Scrapbooking, CAMPING, Yard/Garage sales. Did I mention I LOVE CAMPING? Check out my website!! www.digi-scrap4u.com
Favorite Movies LOVE movies!! Not much into what they call Horror movies these days ... they are all pretty corny if ya ask me. I'm a HUGE Hitchcock fan. I mostly like action adventures and Chick Flicks!
Favorite Music I love a wide variety of music. I especially like music with words I can understand and have meaning! Take me back to the 70's and 80's and I can live happily ever after.
Favorite Books Sadly, I'm not much of a reader. I have been making a greater effort to read my Bible and search The Word for whatever God would have me see. I have really been enjoying reading my daughters 1st Bible, as it raises my curiosity enough to open mine and make sure what I am teaching my daughters is Truth. I still pick up and randomly read from my Big Book daily because something new is always revealed! I treat it like a game by flipping to a random page assuming I will already KNOW what it says. EVERY time something NEW is revealed to me and it continues to trip me out!
