| Introduction | I am a professionally trained traditional upholstress based in North Wales. During a tea break I mused that the sheep in the surrounding fields looked like little footstools...the Baa Stool idea was born. I wanted as many of the materials in the stool to be local and from sustainable sources which I have achieved. The frames are made by a local craftsman who can show me the stump where the tree fell! The fleeces are all from British flocks. When I'm not working on Baa Stools I take old, tired pieces of furniture and bring them back to life with a complete re-build including new stuffings or simply a new cover. I work using traditional techniques and materials using fibre, horse hair, hand springing and stitching to achieve an authentic finish. |
| Interests | I'm an avid reader of Medieval history books, especially the Tudor period and am learning all I can about Henry VIII and his ever changing family. On honeymoon we learned to Stand Up paddle and when the weather's fine and the tide is right we can often be found on the water paddleboarding. So far we have two Labradoodles, two cats, 11 chickens, 3 ducks and 2 geese and I love looking after our aever growing zoo! |
