Introduction Fairhope, Alabama is home. On the Eastern Shore of Mobile Bay, Fairhope offers inspiration and significance. I may visit other places but my heart is firmly rooted in this town and with its people. Photography is a staple part of my creative diet. My goal is to scan my pictures into digital albums. This brings up the purpose of this blog…time. Time spent creating digital albums is not writing time. Separation from writing causes angst and frustration. This is a reasonable photograph of Writer’s Enmity. The Poetry Out Loud organization selected me as a judge for school competitions. I’m an active member of the Alabama Writer’s Forum, a member of The Pensters Writing Group, belong to The Baldwin Writers Group, and studied creative writing at The University of South Alabama. I am writing a novel, in first person, of a capable, independent, eighty-two-year-old widow fighting to remain in her home in spite of memory lapses, which have prevented her from finding her way home. There are six main characters, two of them are deceased…it is challenging dialog to write. She is cautious about the motives of others; her wile ways often confound their motives. She won’t go without a fight.
