Introduction	Hello, my name is Megan Haynes and I am a senior majoring in Psychology and Elementary Education. I plan on graduating in May 2009 and interning in Anderson County schools in the Fall of 2009. When I began school at the University of Tennessee four years ago, I knew I wanted to work with children but had an interesting time deciding which path to take and which major to declare after deciding on Education. I have worked with children and volunteered in school systems since my freshman year of high school when I mentored and tutored a first grade boy for a summer. During my junior and senior years of high school, I took a co-op to a local elementary school and worked in a first and second grade classroom. In college, before entering any education classes, I volunteered with the Red Cross with Clinic Vols for two years in two different South Knoxville elementary schools clinics. I love children and love the idea of having fun and enjoying my career while making a difference in the lives of children every day.
