| Introduction | Sujata Assomull has a 360 degree perspective of the Indian fashion industry. editor of Harper's Bazaar India, she has been part of for nearly 15 years in a range of capacities. She has been features, fashion and lifestyle editor with leading fashion magazines including Elle, Verve and Beautiful People, studied at the Fashion Institute of Technology, New York, has worked in television, as fashion expert for Times Now and has been a columnist for many of India’s leading newspapers. A winner of the ‘F’ Fashion Journalist of the Year award, she is familiar with the business of fashion. She worked with Business India; set up Stylesmith, a media, style and image consultancy, and has been as the Communications Director of the Murjani Group, handling corporate brand building on Gucci, Jimmy Choo, La Perla, CK Jeans & Underwear and French Connection, among others. She joined Harper’s Bazaar from Reliance Brands where she had the twin responsibilities of being Communications Head and Head of Luxury Business Development. |
