| Introduction | David and Laura met twice before falling in love; once as children (everyone remembers – all 4 parents and Laura – all except David) & again on a blind date as adults. The mutual friends who thought we’d be a nice couple were right; and the result became our future. Soon Laura left for graduate school at Univ. of Mich. in the Fall of 2002. We put many miles on our vehicles and on I-75 for weekend visits. After 18 months of dating from 6 hours apart and a Masters degree later, David & Laura were married in Lexington, KY - January 2003. Laura immersed herself in her new career as a Social Worker in the clinical arena and subsequently the Social Justice area. David enjoyed his promotion to Fire Captain, first on Engine 21, then Engine 8. His latest promotion was to Battalion Chief and he is currently the Administration Chief. Rachael was born January 2006. She has been an absolute joy all the way around. Our hearts are filled with love for her. Currently, Laura has the privilege of being a stay-at-home Mommy to Rachael and enjoys her job immensely! We wanted to expand our family through adoption, and hope to bring our son home in the next month or two… stay tuned! |
