| Introduction | Brave & honest about sums it up. Some don't understand it at all. Others get it and sometimes respect me for it. I am not one to respect people just because they have a title. People have to earn my respect and I am NOT afraid of challenging people, title or no title! I enjoy the "journey" that life brings me. | Interests | Conversation, analyzing ideas & proposals, growing my small business, making sure my customers are happy with our services, yardwork, having a glass of good wine with friends, spending time at home with my dogs, promoting and patronizing small Fort Worth based businesses. Building stronger communities and/or neighborhoods. Honesty, outspoken-ness and transparency in local government (all of government really so I like to keep up with local politics -- I think it is important for us as a society to be involved in politics at a local, state and national level. Otherwise politicians have no oversight of their actions, Calling out politicians who aren't doing their job as Representative of their constituency or who are doing it dishonestly, sloppy, or not doing their job at all ---- and believe it or not I like to promote politicians who are doing their job well who I think have our neighborhoods communities and well being as American citizens at heart. Up until now they fell into the "Democrat" category of political ideals..but after this past Presidential election cycle 2008 & the bailouts and owning a business and paying the enormous amount of taxes every time I turn around, I am leaning more and more away from the Parties and have become a true Independent who believes in not spending our tax dollars on things we can't afford or that are not our responsibility. I am socially tolerant and believe in personal responsibility and accountability wholeheartedly! (Some categories that people have put me are: Blue Dog Democrat, Libertarian, Soft Republican.) Watching my dogs play, bike riding, listening to music, visting my friends. Spending time with my Grandmother Hazel, Mother Kathryn, Sister Sandy, neices & nephews, Godchild, Aunts, Uncles, cousins, friends, new acquaintances etc. Going to Luckenbach, Texas. Eating Sushi in downtown Fort Worth with my beloved brother, Jim, Going to Festivals in Fort Worth. |
| Favorite Movies | Documentaries more than anything.....would rather be "doing something." Don't take the time to watch movies. |
| Favorite Music | I go thru phases of favorite music.. 90's rock-n-roll; have been known to listen to pop, pop-rap, country, jazz, classical. Love Willie Nelson, Furgie, Pink Floyd, Gwen Stefani, Waylon Jennings, Dixie Chicks, Lauren Whitener-(Denton, TX), Led Zepplin (Physical Graffiti Rocks!!) -- lots of love for many types of music. |
| Favorite Books | How to Run Your Business like a Girl, SPARK, THINK, any book by Wayne Dyer. I like "one pagers" as it's like a thought for the day. |
