IntroductionSteve Kinder is the SOA Foundation Architect for WebSphere, acknowledged mainframe bigot and has worked at IBM in Poughkeepsie, NY for 18 years. Steve's career started in MVS Supervisor control where he had the privilege of re-writing the MVS dispatcher for MVS 5.1. Having achieved his life goals in the first 5 years of his career; all the rest of this Java stuff is just gravy. Steve has spent time designing WebSphere's Transaction Manager for z/OS and its integration with RRS -- as well as the WebSphere Messaging Provider on z/OS 5.1 and its integration with MQ. Steve has U.S. patents in operating systems, application servers, database and messaging providers. Steve's current responsibilities as SOA Foundation Architect is ensuring that WebSphere technology is in line with the larger IBM SOA Foundation initiatives. Steve is not as smart as Ian Robinson, who holds a PhD in Physics.
