| Introduction | I greet you in the name of God almighty. I am George Whitefield and I preach to people in the wide open air, where thousands upon thousands of people can gather and listen to the remarkable words of God. He is God over all, and we can but stand in awe of his majesty, justice, and grace. Our unwilling hearts will be changed by him who is chosen by God. We shall be received by Him into his eternal salvation. I preach to people about their need for Him and their hope in His salvation. I grew up in the ‘umble town of Gloucester, England during a time that some call an awakening. Personally, I thought it was all quite strenuous with sermons at 4 A.M. and up to 40 hours of straight-up pulpit-standing, but I digress. Founding churches is among my joys in life; I currently have three in England that are all very well off. I am friends with Benjamin Franklin who is a business partner also. We print my teaching in magazines; we believe it will help the word of God reach a much larger audience. I hope that by creating this publication my words, and those of God will reach the ears of thousands of more believers and unbelievers. |
