Introduction	Kouyasan is the center of Shingon Buddhism, was opened in 805 by Kobo Daishi (as well known as Kukai), one of Japan's most significant religious figures. A small, secluded temple town had developed with Shingon Buddhism. Houjouin is the one of oldest building in kouyasan, most of temples caught fire in 1888. We have temple lodging, and looking forward to seeing you here.
