Introduction 7 years ago I taught myself how to crochet. I made the most mishapen blanket you have ever seen. It was more like a table runner for a kings table. Hilarious!! Now I can follow pattern directions pretty well and also like to make things on my own. This summer I taught myself how to sew. I am crazy about it. I thought crocheting was theraptuic and wonderful. Sewing is even more rewarding because it takes much less time to create something so "you" and fun. Or you can even make practical things. I've found my own sense of style now that I am able to cut up clothes and remake everything. I'm having a create blast at 38. It may seem late in life but it is just fine with me.
Interests I love people. I love creating and trying to find my inner artist. It is very hard for me but there is so much in all of us that God has given us that is unique and special to share with the world. I love God and am blessed by a wonderful church family. Not to mention, the best family God could give anyone with my husband and 4 kids.
Favorite Movies I love movies and have a large variety in tastes. That movie Taken was amazing. I love the Showtime series, Tudors. I hate that the new season won't be out until spring. Pretty Woman, is a classic I will always love.
Favorite Music Music is another passion of mine. What better way to relax and just let go than to put on your favorite music and just zone out on the music. I like Chris Botti, a horn player and more; Michael Buble who is like the modern day Frank Sinatra. As if he could be replaced. But he is terrific. I even like the modern stuff kids like such as The All American Rejects. I switch my music up. I will revert to the 80's thing and then listen to some brand new jazz release or even something from John Mayer. I really like the song, "Say" by him. I will finish there because this could be an entire blog for me. lol
Favorite Books The bible. Honestly. So many others that I don't remember the names of. Echo of Darkness was great and part of a series that was wonderful. I enjoy Max Lucado and many others. I actually spend more time right now reading childrens books and checking out the classics from the library is the most fun. I did learn a lot about sewing from library books. Thank goodness I had those to help.
