| Introduction | I'm blessed to live on my great-grandparent's Arkansas farm, the very place I grew up. I'm what I'd call a "feminine tomboy". I wear dresses everyday (especially vintage ones!) and try to be a lady, but I can skin a snake or chase a calf in that same dress and barefooted. I love to cook and bake and can, and keep a cozy home. I've been married for 25 years, and homeschooled my three boys/men who are the joy of my life! They say I'm the only moma they know that says not to fill up on supper, because I expect them to eat dessert! This blog isn't to show what a great photographer or writer I am- because I am neither. This is because when exciting things happen, I want you to share in them. And the lovely yet ordinary things that happen, I want to tell you, too. I consider this a diary of days, so I can look back and reminesce. When I was taught to pray I was told to talk to God as I would an unseen friend. And so that is how I will write to you, Dear Reader. I would have you come in for a sit-down and a glass of sweet tea, and I'll offer you some of what I just baked.....Ya'll come. |
| Interests | I love doing absolutely anything with my 3 boys, writing, reading, gardening, canning, cooking, baking (especially desserts!), going to the movies, teaching Science and cooking classes, being outside..... |
| Favorite movies | How can I ever choose?! Princess Bride, Willow, Room with a View, African Queen, The Mummy, Scorpion King, The 13th Warrior, Secondhand Lions, Big Fish, The 5th Element, Windwalker, anything with Buster Keaten........ |
| Favorite music | I love 1920 and 30's music, especially played on my Victrola on big, fat records! But I am also a hair-band metal-head from the 80's. I've seen Def Leopard, Metallica, Guns n Roses...all in concert. Best of both worlds ;) |
| Favorite books | An author once said that to choose a favorite book was akin to being asked which limb they would prefer to keep. I could write for days and never finish this list... |
