Introduction	I am the food equivalent of a window shopper. I own cookbooks by the tonne but I can’t really cook. I can boil the occasional egg (always too hard) and maybe make a batch of buns (too dense) and make popcorn (but not always, I once caused three grand's worth of damage doing that). It's time I learnt. There will be a distinctly Irish slant to a lot of the cooking, not least because butter & cream and black & white pudding are my main food groups and I also come complete with a coeliac mother and a father masquerading as a househusband as he starts his own business. As the popcorn incident proves, it’s all fun and games until someone loses an eye.
