Introduction	Well...for the purposes of this blog my over-riding interest is lost children. That sounds weird and creepy. I don't know why I started writing and researching this years ago but it has taken hold of me and I think so much needs to be said, listened to and thought about regarding this issue. It's a collective trauma which our society simultaneously tries to forget whilst panicing loudly over a few well-publicised cases. In our culture, the figure of the lost child is a symbol around which thoughts, memories, time, history and language break open. The figure of the lost child is important for who we are, who we were and who we could become. It's a wound but, perhaps, an opening into a way of seeing beyond our normal perception.
