| Introduction | I've been a practicing artist for almost 40 years. I attended the Memphis College of Art for a number of years taking only a few specific classes. My major class at the Academy was cloisonne enameling. After thirteen years I began to make wearable art,predominantly evening bags but also necklaces, pins, etc. out of fabric, lace, beads, and trims. I've also painted using acrylic and water color, made small goddess sculptures, Whisper Bags which were my very elaborate version of a medicine bag and miniature nichos. I love collage and consider myself a collage artist. I have used collage in many of the mediums that I have worked in over the years. My birthday is February 29th. When I posted it, it said it was an invalid date, but that is actually my birthday and I'm a Pisces. |
