| Introduction | The Man in Overalls, aka Nathan Ballentine is Food Gardener, Educator, Community Organizer, and Persona of Tallahassee Food Gardens (TFG), a social enterprise that "encourages and assists folks to raise food for self and neighbor." He earns his living by designing, installing, and managing food gardens and facilitating community food projects through his business. The flip side of his time he spends working with the Tallahassee Food Network (an organization he helped found) to develop community gardens, community food projects, partnerships and other programs to grow the Tallahassee food movement. Around the edges he plants food gardens with young people at churches and schools and leads food gardening workshops. He graduated with a degree in Community Organizing from Warren Wilson College. He's gardened since 8. |
