| Introduction | Originally from the Rio Grande Valley of South Texas, Linda Romero started painting in an effort to keep from being bored during a summer hiatus a couple of years ago. Her first painting endeavor was a sunflower landscape on a decorator table. Since then, she has experimented with different textures and surfaces, but continues to work with acrylics. She has had no formal training or art courses, so her methods are mostly derived from self-teaching and trial and error experimentation. Linda Romero has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from UT-Pan American, and is currently working on her MFA in Creative writing. |
