| Introduction | Writing fires me up like nothing else—except perhaps a good strong cup of dark roast coffee. I look forward to coming to this blog and writing deliberately and consistently. Please note the link to Shortbread Stories on the right--pop over, search Dianne Ness and read the two stories I have contributed there--enjoy! I was raised in the country, one of six children. My father worked the land as a woodsman and a blueberry farmer of many acres. Dad expressed his love through the care of his family and his lifelong habit of praying for us EVERY day by name wherever we were. My mother was a happy stay at home mom. She said more than once when we were growing up that she would have loved to have had a dozen children, which translated to us that we were loved and wanted. Words to grow and thrive on. I have worked most of my adult life in childcare, working as a live-in Nanny in several Canadian cities and a short part-time stint in the cafe' of my dreams. I still take care of children and am s-l-o-w-l-y working my way through a Library Information Technology course through Nova Scotia Community College. |
