About me

Introduction	My name is Krya Perry and I have been an instructor with MCCCD for over 20 years! Please feel free to link to my introductory video or read about me below: https://youtu.be/J2CKqd4tbUc A little background on how I came to teach at the Community College: I started my academic studies with a degree in Zoology at Northern Arizona University and finished up my graduate studies at Arizona State University. I have been teaching now for the last 20 years and I truly love teaching anything and everything biology! In my spare time I love to do just about anything in nature (hike, bike, climb, scuba dive, explore new areas of AZ...). In between raising the 3 little humans that run my household these days, I do a bit of volunteer work and have done everything from tracking rattlesnakes with radio transmitters, to turtle trapping with AZGFD, and bird surveys with the Audobon society. I also feel very fortunate to have had opportunities that allowed me to visit many terrestrial and marine ecosystems, scuba diving several marine locations. I will share with you some of what I have learned from these amazingly diverse and awe-inspiring ecosystems.
