IntroductionThese works occupy a dreamlike space where familiar objects are transformed into something unexpected. The process itself is meditative and therapeutic, shaped by my experiences living with also with OCD. Through repetitive arranging, collecting, and composing, I create scene-scapes that allow me to explore my own subconscious while allowing for moments of play and discovery. Ultimately, I delight in the absurdity of these juxtapositions. By bringing together unlikely elements, I invite viewers to question their assumptions about beauty, value, and the ways we construct meaning from the everyday. In the end, I aim to create something memorable at worst, impactful at best —revealing a touch of the unconventional or misfit in life's achingly magnificent (yet broken) design.
Interests"Arting" (primarily efforts at surreal collage with mixed-media abstract painting now & then, along with portraiture), window shopping and browsing, attending museums & galleries (preferably with free admission), antiquing/dumpster-diving, wrapping (gifts, not beat-boxing), hiking, Slip 'n Sliding, "long walks on the beach", cat worship, dressing-up, dressing-down, collecting potato chips that resemble celebrities
