| Introduction | My name is Raegan, I am a licensed and practicing Esthetician. I am working on my Applied Arts and Sciences Degree through Texas State University-San Marcos and plan to apply to the Physician Assistant program in Idaho after graduation. I am dually enrolled with ACC to finish some required "core" courses. Thus, I find myself in Government 2305 with an increasing lean towards the Democratic party. I have had political influences throughout my life being raised Republican in rural Alaska, attending numerous political forums in Alaska and Washington D.C. and interning for Senator Frank Murkowski in 2001. It is through my experiences from my past as well as completion of Govenment 2306, having children, moving to Texas and experiencing financial difficulties that I find myself understanding the political positions of the Demotcratic party. However, I am not a full convert and still side with conservatives on a few on-going issues. I am hoping to gain more insight into American government and politics as a whole. I took the civics and current quizzes and did decently. I scored better than 44% of people on the current quiz and somehow managed a 54% on the civics quiz. |
