| Introduction | I am a woman in her 70's, a widow, a mother and grandmother, a friend, a woman still discovering and seeking, always on pilgrimage. I will be, however, on pilgrimage in a very tangible way in the fall of 2015, when I set out alone to walk the 500 mile Camino de Santiago Frances, from Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port in France, over the Pyrenees into Spain, and across northern Spain to the city of Santiago de Compostela, where the bones of the Apostle James are purported to be buried in the cathedral there. My plan is to take as many as 50 days to walk the length of the Camino. My intention is for this blog to be a place to record the essence of my journey, wherever it leads. For now, I'm just on my way. |
