| Introduction | I was born and raised in Northern Virginia, in a suburb of Washington, D.C. I’m the second of 5 children. We grew up in a modest home, but I always felt rich in the things that really mattered. With living so close to the Nation’s Capital, national news was our local news. This area is very rich in historical sites. Patriotism is part of who I am and I think it came from living where I do. I love history and art. I’ve always loved drawing and painting. I commuted and worked for Uncle Sam in DC for 4 years. I married my high school sweetheart and quit work for the birth of our first son. Our oldest is married with 2 sons of his own. Being Grandma is WONDERFUL! Our youngest son attends the local Community College. My Mom loved to craft, too. We did several shows together. Her specialty was angels made from lace. I recently lost my Mother. I know she and my Dad are here with me in Spirit. I’m so grateful for the many lessons and values that they taught us as children as well as adults. Most importantly, they taught us that family is the greatest treasure on earth. This blog is dedicated to their memory. Until we meet again- |
