IntroductionI enjoy all of the activities of my job which are training mentoring and coaching the agents in my office as well as problem solving with the agents and clients. I am an avid reader and a passionate teacher and student. I think of myself as a life long learner. I am a late in life college student having returned to academia in my 50's for an undergraduate degree at DePaul University which was completed in 2009.
InterestsI love travel and consider myself a citizen of the world. I have traveled to Israel, Peru, Prague,Poland, France, Turkey, Greece, Italy, Spain and most recently Portugal and West Africa. Some of these trips have been for pleasure and some have been study trips as a part of my degree progress.
Favorite musicNot sure about favorite music but.... I absolutely love reality shows! I am not sure what that is about but I have watched everything from the Search for the Ultimate Coyote Ugly Girl, Survivor, Project Runway and most recently, Sheer Genius. The thing I seem to like best is the challenge to preform well and creatively with flexibility. I enjoy challenges that have nothing to do with sports!
Favorite booksI love Elizabeth Berg, particularly her older books: Pull of the Moon, Talk Before Sleep, Range of Motion. I love Jodi Picolut who wrote Nineteen Minutes, Mercy and My Sister's Keeper among others. She is well researched and presents moral dilemmas in a thought provoking multifaceted way. I also am proud to say I have read Plato...something I have waited my whole life to read and study. I am currently reading "Collapse" by Jared Diamond and find it fascinating! I relate many of the societies studied to what I know of West Africa on my recent visit
