Introduction | I am a student of Christian writing. A Softer Voice is the classroom; the Bible, my textbook. The King of Kings is the Instructor. John 13:13 says "You call Me Teacher and Lord; and you are right, for so I am." The curriculum? "Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ." 2 Peter 13:18. I had a mentor in my husband, Bud. He was also my love, my best friend and my hero, and we had more than 48 amazing years together. I am Mom to two beautiful daughters. Our four grandsons and one granddaughter are blessed with terrific dads in our sons-in-law. My lifetime assignment: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:5,6 A Softer Voice (the book) is now available as an ebook at Friesen Press (www.friesenpress.com), Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and Nook. |
Interests | My interests travel in a fairly tight circle: Faith, Family, Church, Music, Studying Bible Prophecy, and Writing. I enjoy singing at our church and was a member of the Singing Church Women of Oklahoma for 18 years. My life is quieter now. I enjoy my daughters and their families, including wonderful sons-in-laws and five grandchildren. We take a few trips together as opportunity and schedules allow. |
