| Introduction | 25 years of emergency management experience mostly with Red Cross, private industry and a small amount with FEMA. I have worked on small and large disasters involving floods, fires, firestorms, tornadoes, hurricanes, earthquakes, mudslides and the like from the early 1970's to today. *Created courses to teach first-time leaders to respond to disasters and other emergencies. *Surveyed damaged from thousands of homes and apts. from all kinds of disasters. Directed the first damage assessment for the San Francisco Earthquake and Oakland Hills Firestorm *Former EMT who has aided about 2,300 injured people and supervised to treatment of over 10,000. Supervised first aid events of up to 1 million people. *In 1991 Co-created Crisis Management Systems, Inc. providing disaster consulting and training for large businesses. *Created SafetyStore.com in late 1995 - when less than 100K websites in the World *Part of the largest disaster preparedness project in US history. Our goal continues to be creating systems and products to help 1st time people in emergencies to be more successful. |
