| Introduction | Charlie Asher is a native Californian who grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and now resides in Folsom, California. His style is reminiscent of the impressionists. As a young boy, Charlie honed his impressionist style through constant repetition copying the great artists, Van Gogh, Chagall, Renoir, Degas, and Cezanne. He strives to capture the scene quickly by focusing only on the essential theme but then works and reworks his artwork to ensure color, balance, and focus. His definition of art is simple: Reality filtered through dreams. In his artwork, you will see a dream-like quality. A past president and now member of the Folsom Arts Association, Charlie has won numerous awards for his work, the latest recognition coming from the Curator at the Crocker Art Museum in Sacramento, Ca. - Honorable Mention for his painting: “Painted Ladies Storm the City.” For more information about his art and their purchase, please contact Charlie via emails at charlesasher88@gmail.com or ashercharlie@att.net.
