| Introduction | I have dedicated my life's work to improving the City of Memphis. I love Memphis and would like to see us come together to make it the great city it is destined to be. I read a lot of the blogs dedicated to Memphis. While many of them do a great job of serving as Big Brother, bringing important issues to the attention of the public, we need one dedicated to reaching solutions. We need a forum where, in addition to discussing the issues, we can help each other to begin to take 100% responsibility for improving our City. So, please share your thoughts, but also let's be committed to putting some plans to action--a covenant with the people of Memphis if you will. I will attempt to start conversations on various topics. I strongly believe that if we begin to talk to each other, instead of at each other, we can start something big and can move Memphis forward. The opinions I express here are strictly in my role as a lover of my hometown; I in no way attempt to represent the Memphis Urban League or Memphis City Schools. I just want my town to be great. So, as so eloquently stated by the Joker (Jack Nicholson in "Batman"), this town needs an enema--let the cleansing begin! |
