| Introduction | In an effort to maintain quality television for the masses, I've decided to make promoting the television show, Friday Night Lights, my cause. The show is not about football, although there's no doubt the fictitious town of Dillon, Texas loves its football. Football is the common thread that keeps a small town both together and divided. Anchored by the character of Coach Eric Taylor and his wife and daughters, the show chronicles the lives of teachers, parents, coaches, players, administrators, boosters, local politicians, and townspeople. The critically acclaimed series was renewed for a fourth and fifth season: 2009/2010 and 2010/2011 seasons respectively via Direct TVs Channel 101 and NBC. This year, show will be aired first on Direct TV in October 2009, followed by NBC in the Spring of 2010. Do yourself and your family a favor. Watch a couple of episodes, and you will see what all the buzz is about. First 3 season of FNLs are available on DVD; and now, all 3 seasons are available for immediate download at Netflix. |
