You've got to make contact with the alien leader. How will you tell when the conversation is finished?
Since all of my knowledge of extra terrestrials stems from sci-fi movies, I'd say it would be more than likely that any alien being I were to meet would be hostile. Thus, I would know when the conversation had ended when the alien a) forced me to take him to my leader, b) abducted me to experiment with me on his flying saucer, or c) killed me with his laser gun.
