| Introduction | Hi, I'm Lauren and I'm a travel-holic. I should have been born in Europe but instead, I was born and raised in North Carolina (NE NC, to be exact). In North Carolina, we love our college sports (go Tar Heels!), BBQ (vinegar based, of course), and vacation spots (beaches AND mountains!) I work as a school psychologist and I love my career. Not only is it very satisfying, challenging, and exciting work, it allows me plenty of vacation time. I'm the oldest child, which most definitely contributes to my Type A personality. Additionally, I have two dogs (a toy poodle, Gio, and German Shepherd, Kallie) and a cat, Caesar. I was always a cat person growing up and Caesar was my first pet. But after adopting Gio, I realized what a great joy dogs are and I have been converted to a huge dog lover. Things I love: Europe, Food Network, UNC, cold weather, hot bread, planning ahead, shopping at Target, reading, movies, antiques, family time, restaurants, trivia, punctuality, and Coldplay. Things I strongly dislike/hate: snakes, poor grammar/spelling, racism, ignorance, gas prices, Duke and State, bad tippers, when people throw up any type of hand gesture in pictures, rudeness. |
