| Introduction | I am a transplant originally from Bologna, Italy. I landed in, of all places, Sanford, a little town in the middle of North Carolina, in 1987 (it's a long story... don't ask!). After college and a long battle trying to obtain a green card, I began working in the immigration field and, in a sadomasochistic way, fell in love with it. I lived in NYC from 2002 to 2006. I returned to NC, settled in the Wilmington area and found a new life with then boyfriend and now husband. We make our home in Southport, NC. |

Sadly, that was somewhat recently. I couldn't sleep and there was going to be a Family Guy episode coming up on Adult Swim at 3 a.m.
