| Introduction | We are a research lab at Brown University with a focus on child development of diverse groups of American youth. Bringing together research from sociology, education and psychology and through our own national and local research we seek to better understand the multilayered contexts in which immigrant-heritage youth are growing up today. Looking at risks and assets in the communities, schools, and families we can begin to understand the patterns of failure and success seen in American youth across the nation.
