| Introduction | I have always been interested in family history. On a recent trip to Nauvoo Illinois in 2006, I discovered my immigrating ancestor, William Ainscough. My mother is Ardath Ainscough; her father was Elmer; his father was William Thomas Ainscough; and his father was William Ainscough, born 1818 in Eccleston, Lancashire England. In 2008 I wrote a history about William Ainscough's life in America. On this blog I would like to meet many of the William Ainscough descendants and find more information about William's life in Nauvoo, Cottonwood, Smithfield and his English roots. |
