Introduction	Aspiring writer. Into music, literature, the transformation of the media industry, snippets of fashion and design culture, love, the evolution of the species, stuff like that.
Favorite music	Historically my favorites are classic jangly 80/90s rock and its predecessors. Early R.E.M., Pavement, the Replacements, the Smiths, the B-52s, the Sundays. The Beatles, of course. Fleetwood Mac. Now I listen to mostly indie and alt rock, some alt country, mostly music that is melodic and slightly melancholy, though lately I'm coming around to a lot of punk and post-punk music that I never quite got into.
Favorite books	My other love is reading but I don't find it as fun to write about. Let's just say one of my childhood nicknames was "Billy Jean Reads a Book" and that I read a lot.
