About me

Location	Grand Rapids, Michigan
Introduction	My name is Johnathon Fricke, and I am the owner of Fricke N Setters, along with my lovely wife, Erin. While she is more of a mother figure to the dogs, it is through her tolerance and support that I am able to enjoy these wonderful animals. I first got into bird dogs when I was 19 years old. As time went on, I discovered field trials. I was hooked! Growing up with a last name like Fricke, pronounced Frickey, but always verbalized by friends or strangers as Frick, either intentionally or not, I decided to have a little inoccent play on words thus creating Fricke N Setters. Many of our dogs our young, yet we are very excited about their potential. Most of my dogs are heavy in Grouse Ridge and Long Gone, and Terhaar breedings. The goal of our kennel is to produce top notch bird dogs that can win at any level. Whle being somewhat newer, we have still won our fair share of trials, and look for even greater success in the near future.
