About me

Introduction	My name is Edwina and I am from India, i'm currently in my first year of a Bachelor Degree of Media and Communication at Deakin. To that end, I am also a student broadcaster at 3zzz 92.3 FM as part of the Polyfonix Multicultural Youth Program. I am also a member of the DUSA Red Shirts so I have been involved in serving food to students at events. Participating in extracurricular activities has given me exposure and helped me get used to the people, ways and culture of Australia. It has also helped me keep a balance between my studies and social life. When I was new to Deakin, my biggest challenge was not to get lost! The Burwood campus is massive and in the first week, I spent my time getting lost but all I had to do was ask, whoever I could find on the way, whether a staff member or a student, and I got help. My best piece of advice to new students is -have fun, make the best of your student life at Uni.
