| Introduction | My family does not include a cancer survivor. The disease took my mother in 1998 and then my sister in 2007. I hope to live the remaining days of my life with the same elegance and grace with which my loved ones lost their lives. They showed me what one's last days on this earth should, and can, be: days filled with although sorrow, great joy; although pain,great comfort; and although sadness, great humor. |
