| Interests | When I first considered blogging, I thought that I might write about current events, vent about pet peeves, chronicle my vagaries, and generally rant, rave, and ramble on about ignorance and stupidity. My first thoughts ranged from relating past experiences to commenting on the Imperial Presidency of George W. Bush. My passions have been the study of history, sociology, education, psychology, and political science. I have found contentment in being a professional educator serving the Port Huron Area School District and human/civil rights advocate. I have been a student leader; professional education association leader; contract negotiator; a pioneer in founding a human/civil rights caucus within the governance structure of the Michigan Education Association; an author of the constitution and bylaws of a human/civil rights organization affiliated with the Community of Christ Church; a church pastor; a consultant to the local professional education association; and an aggravating know-it-all-pain-in-the-ass. |
