Introduction	I'm a professional writer and researcher specialising in psychology, particularly the psychology of crime and happiness. I've written a number of full-lenth reviews on youth crime, one on adolescent development, and others on employment for people with experience of mental illness. Presently my paid work is writing articles on innovative mental health programmes for a website, a job I love. I have personal experience of transforming long-term, severe depression into lasting happiness despite a physical illness that has made it difficult for me to work because of very low energy levels. In my free time I'm working on a book about transforming depression into happiness, based on effective techniques and my own experience.
