Introduction I am professional pole vaulter chasing the ultimate goal, a world record of 6.16 meters, or 20ft 2 1/2in. I am originally from Freeport, Illinois, I jumped 14'6" in high school and placed 9th at state my senior year. I attended Olivet Nazarene University and was coached by Wally Cramer and Mike McDowell, I jumped 17'6" and am a 2 time NAIA national champion. I graduated in 2008 with a degree in sports management. I now live in Knoxville, Tennesse and train with Tim Mack 2004 Olympic Gold medalist. My lifetime personal best is 5.75 meters or 18ft 10in. I competed at the Olympic Trials in 2008 and placed 5th at USA nationals in 2009 earning the spot of alternate for the World Championships in Berlin. In 2010 I was the Millrose Games champion and also the 2010 USA Outdoor as well as 2011 Indoor National Champion! I competed for team USA on the 2011 World Championship team in Deagu, Sout Korea. I finished 5th place at the 2012 Olympic Trials just missing the Olympic team by 2 spots. I have an amazingly supportive family and on July 18th, 2009 I married the woman of my dreams, Amanda, and I wouldnt be able to do this without her.
