Introduction I am just an ordinary wife and Ma and new Granny. Baby-boomer, sandwich-generation woman, trying to figure out what's next in my life. My husband is retiring in a couple years, so we've been contemplating selling the house and buying a travel trailer, since we have family in different states and cannot decide where to live post-retirement! We'll see how that goes. We have been married for ages and have raised four sons, born in '78, 83, 87, and 90. We welcomed our first grandchild July 2016---a girl! We have an old cat named Mowgli and a young pooch named Cheddar (shelter adoptions), both of whom are spoiled shamelessly by my hubby! (OK, I do it too. Sometimes.) I am a Christian, however I don't like what the "Religious Right" represents...that whole scene has propagated a bunch of narrow-mindedness, hatred and prejudice. I tend towards being more liberal than conservative. I am a California native, but I've also lived in Maryland and Colorado, and now reside in Scottsdale, Arizona---at least for now!

When you open your eyes underwater, do you ever worry that you'll drown?

NO! I'm a California girl with a former lifeguard father. I spent my childhood loving the water. In fact, my folks called me "the water baby."
