Introduction Hello and welcome home! A weaver's home. When asked what was the one thing he wished he would have known about weavers...answered, "That there would be a loom in every room" (well not quite, but getting close!) I'm a retired Museum Curator, a retired Home Educator and my passion throughout these years has always been textiles. Who made it? Why? How! A stint with the Swedish American Museum in Chicago opened the world of Scandinavian historic weavings to me. I've not looked back. I have been owned by a Glimakra Ideal since 1993. A small herd has followed! A c. 1910 Lervad loom with ties to the Hull House, Chicago. A c. 1990's? Rasmussen table loom with treadle stand. A Glimakra Julia for me to take to workshops. A LeClerc Voyageur table loom was given to me. Beka rigid heddle looms for band weaving. Good tools produce great results when used well. I am fortunate to have fabulous tools! How 'bout you?
