Introduction	The New York Theatre Review (blogspot), founded in 2010, is an independent media outlet for artists by artists created "in the spirit of bringing more visibility to indie theater". In addition to reviewing, reporting and interviewing, NYTR's on-line content includes essays, reviews of new plays and the occasional photo essay. NYTR’s team of 18 writers from the theater community include: editor and performer/writer Jody Christopherson (Huffington Post), Matthew Paul Olmos (Princess Grace Playwrighting Fellow 2013), Olivia Jane Smith (Daily News, NY Live Arts), Catherine Mueller (Perfromer/Glass Contraption), Julia Hochner (Performer/ Maggie Flanigan Studios), Victoria Teague (Performer/ Public Theater), Aaron Grunfeld (Metro Mix) and many more. Since 2010 the blog has garnered over 400,000 hits and has developed a following in the US, UK, Eastern Europe and Unite Arab Emirates.
