| Introduction | Since this blog is about spiritual growth, that is where I will begin. Though in my childhood I remember believing there was a God, I did not have much concept of what that might really mean until I experienced radical transformation in 1979. It was then that I witnessed and experienced Jesus in a way that made sense to me and gave me hope of life in fellowship with God. I was married in 1985 and graduated with a degree in biochemistry in 1986. We lived and worked in Africa from 1988-1992, and began having children. In 1995 we tried our hand at community living, homesteading and running an organic goat dairy. We home schooled our children from 1993 through 2015. In 2011, I began some part-time classroom teaching of a variety of subjects and then helped start a local Christian high school. I have enjoyed many successes, and experienced a variety of failures, and am still very much “in process”. I enjoy in depth research of scripture, and its historical setting. The Bible, even now—over thirty years later--continues to be alive and powerful in my life. It is part of this pursuit of Truth that I hope to share through blogging. |
