| Introduction | I began my culinary life in my grandmothers kitchen, rolling flour dumplings and mixing strudel topping together in the large stainless steel bowl with my tiny fingertips, under her feet and below counter top hight. That was over 25 years ago, since then, I have become a passionate culinarian,a voracious reader, music lover, poet,writer, cook book collector, recipe tester,baker, sight seer and most recently, a blogger. I write about what I know, I write about food and food ingredients and food literature and the way food and almost everything connected to it makes you feel, the things food can inspire you to do, and to think about and the way it impacts our lives as human beings. I write about the flavours and textures that are possible with food ingredients and about the impact of culture and mannerisms on our individual and collected perceptions about food and its many and varied role in our lives. The truth is that food can be anything you want it to be, and hence the title "Food is..." To me, " Food is... Pure Joy" |
