| Introduction | Born in Buffalo, New York, family moves to Speedway, Ind when I'm 2. Catholic school for 7 years and then we move to Maryland, and 'public' school. Move to Santa Cruz, Calif. when I'm 20, then back to Maryland a year later for 2 years and the death of my father, Robert Franklin Spitzer. Back to Santa Cruz with my brother Keith in Sept of 1977. I'm extremely fortunate to live on this ridge top property in hills behind Soquel for over 30 years. This land has changed my life and saved it, as witness to many transformations along the way. My soul is rooted here, surrounded by an abundance of trees, animals, birds, beauty and dear friends. I write in honor of my father who died at 55 and left nothing in the way of writings for his 7 children, (5 boys first, then 2 girls) about himself, how he felt, loved, and perceived this life. I'm taking it to the extreme the other way with my morning 'full circle poems'. Enjoy! |

| Favorite music | Most all kinds as I've done radio DJ duties at KZSC radio in Santa Cruz. No heavy metal, not much reggae, hip-hop, mostly folk, rock, blues, some older country stuff. Brought up on soul back east where I learned to dance starting in 1967 and still dig the 'Woodstock' groups of old. |
