| Introduction | I am very opinionated about almost everything and I am not afraid to express it. I am a Jewish, Conservative Republican who is extremely proud to be a Texan. I am a part-time student who works full-time as an office manager at a construction company. I was raised in a very political family with two extreme views: My father is a Republican and the rest of our family are all Liberal Democrats. My grandmother wrote speaks for 2 governors of the State of New York and wrote speeches for Geraldine Ferraro. So you can imagine the heated arguments that have divided our family for so long. I have voted in every election since I have come of age and I will continue to fulfill my responsibility as an American. I love my country, but the great divide between the two political parties is taking our country nowhere. Instead of fighting for the American people, they are fighting each other like children. I am excited about taking Government class during an election year, and would like to come away from this class with a better understanding on how our Government came to be. |
